U.S. Sen. Ted Budd Endorses Andy Barr for Senate

Lexington, Kentucky—Today, U.S. Senator Ted Budd (R-North Carolina) endorsed Andy Barr (R-KY) to be the next U.S. Senator from Kentucky. Senator Budd joins Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), and Rep. Hal Rogers (R-KY) as Trump-backed candidates in Congress that are now behind Barr. Conservative Activists Riley Gaines and Nick Sandmann have also endorsed Barr’s campaign.

“Andy Barr and I have fought together to advance the America First Agenda and support President Trump,” said Senator Budd. “Andy will be a leading conservative with me in the Senate, will fight with us to secure the border, and will support a strong national security for America. He stands for our values, is pro-life, pro-second amendment, and is leading the fight to get men out of girl’s sports. Kentucky could send no one better than my friend Andy Barr to the U.S. Senate, and I’m with him 100% in this campaign.”

“President Trump was absolutely right when he endorsed Ted Budd in 2022: he’s made a great U.S. Senator for North Carolina,” said Barr. “I’m honored to have his endorsement and I look forward to working with him to grow our economy and cut wasteful spending, to win the strategic competition with China, and to seal our border once and for all.”

“Ted Budd and I are helping President Trump pass the America First Agenda in the Senate. But we need Kentuckians to send in reinforcements and Andy Barr is the man for the job. Ted and I are with Andy and together we will help President Trump Make America Great Again and usher in the Golden Age,” said Senator Mullin.

Senator Budd was endorsed in the 2022 North Carolina Republican Primary by President Trump, the Club for Growth, FreedomWorks, Gun Owners of America, and the National Border Patrol Council, among other prominent conservative leaders and industry groups.
