Lexington, Kentucky—Andy Barr, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Kentucky, is calling out Nate Morris for opposing President Trump on key policy issues since his Senate launch less than two weeks ago after saying on Sunday he was with the President “100%.” Barr released the following statement:
“In less than two weeks since launch, Nate Morris has opposed President Trump’s strong immigration and Ukraine policies. Nate claimed he’s “with Trump 100% on policy,” but that’s a lie.
“This is the same Nate who said two months ago “the fact that so many career politicians are supporting Zelenskyy and this ridiculous, ludicrous war is astonishing to me.”
“The same Nate who called to end “all legal immigration.”
“It’s no wonder why he supported Nikki Haley over President Trump in the primary. He’s anti-Trump, plain and simple.
“Nate is out of touch with the President. And he’s out of touch with Kentucky Conservatives.
“I’ll continue working with President Trump to deport illegals, secure the border, and fix legal immigration. And I support the President’s decision to resume arms shipments to Ukraine to end this war. This bold action, on top of the President’s leadership to take out Iran’s nuclear capability, has restored peace through strength and American deterrence in the world.
“We need MAGA candidates in the Senate who will have President Trump’s back. I always will.”
Morris was asked by Bode Brooks on Fox56’s “Red, White, and Bluegrass” if he had any policy differences with President Trump, and he said he was “with the President 100%.” Morris called for a complete end to legal immigration and for ending all support for Ukraine during his campaign kickoff.
