Barr to Champion Kentucky Common Sense Over Socialist Crazy in U.S. Senate Debate

LEXINGTON, KY— Andy Barr, Republican nominee for the United States Senate, will participate in a Kentucky U.S. Senate debate on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The 60-minute debate will be hosted by WKYT, WDRB/WAVE, Gray Media sister stations, and the League of Women Voters of Kentucky. WKYT’s Bill Bryant and WAVE/WDRB’s Lindsay Allen will serve as co-moderators for the in-studio debate.

“Charles Booker is the most extreme major-party nominee in Kentucky history. He’s a socialist who supports defunding the police, abolishing our borders, and bankrupting American families with the Green New Deal. Andy Barr will take the debate stage and make the choice clear: Kentucky common sense or socialist crazy,” said Alex Bellizzi, Barr campaign spokesman.

The debate will air on television and stream online through Gray Media stations serving Kentucky, including WKYT, WDRB/WAVE, WBKO, and WYMT.
