Sixth District County Judge Executives Endorse Barr for Senate

Republican local leaders bring additional momentum to Barr’s bid

Lexington, KY – Today, U.S. Congressman Andy Barr (R-KY), a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, announced the endorsement of his campaign by County Judge Executives in the Sixth Congressional District. The top local officials in Bath County, Bourbon County, Estill County, Fleming County, Garrard County, Jessamine County, Madison County, Mercer County, Montgomery County, Powell County, and Scott County are all now supporting Barr’s campaign for Senate.

Andy Barr said, “No one knows local communities and people better than a county judge executive. I’m proud to have the support of these eleven local leaders and their trust to deliver results in Washington. Working together we will win this race and support President Trump’s America First agenda for the people of Kentucky.”

Bath County Judge Executive, Forrest McKenzie said, “Congressman Barr has always been a friend to the people of Bath County and the surrounding area. I know that he will be a champion for our county and the people of Kentucky in the United States Senate.”

Bourbon County Judge Executive Michael Williams said, “Andy Barr has always, from day one, been a partner for our County and a champion for Bourbon County. He holds his constituents close to his heart and does a magnificent job of meeting his obligation as our Congressman. He takes his responsibility to heart and does his job. Estill County Judge Executive Donnie Watson said, “Andy Barr has always been a great help to Estill County. He will do a great job as a senator and work with the Trump Administration and members across the aisle to deliver results for Kentucky.”

Jessamine County Judge Executive David West said, “Andy Barr has been a great friend to the people of Jessamine County.
