Jackson County Judge/Executive Shane Gabbard Endorses Andy Barr for U.S. Senate

McKee, Kentucky — Today, Jackson County Judge/Executive Shane Gabbard announced his endorsement of Andy Barr (R-KY) for the United States Senate.

“My time in public service has taught me that results matter, and Andy Barr is someone who delivers on his word,” said Judge/Executive Gabbard. “I am endorsing Andy Barr because he will not forget where he came from and who he is fighting for. I am excited for him to represent Jackson County.”

“I’m grateful to Judge Gabbard for his support and trust. He is a well-respected leader and servant to his community and his endorsement is an honor,” said Barr. “I’m ready to fight for Eastern Kentucky in the U.S. Senate.”

Judge Gabbard was first elected Judge/Executive in 2018. He is deeply involved in his community, most recently joining the Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation (KHIC) Board of Directors in April 2024 to further support rural economic development, after already contributing as a dedicated member for nearly a decade. He is also a pastor at Letterbox Baptist Church, a proud husband, father, and grandfather.

Judge Gabbard joins 27 other County Judge/Executives in endorsing Barr’s campaign. Barr has over 160 major endorsements, more than all other campaigns combined.
