Barr Maintains Commanding Fundraising Lead Over Cameron, Morris in Final Stretch

Lexington, KY — Today, Andy Barr, the leading Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, reported nearly $1.5 million raised and $4.1 million cash-on-hand for the fourth quarter, maintaining a dominant financial advantage heading into the final stretch of the primary.

Barr holds roughly a 5-to-1 cash-on-hand lead over Daniel Cameron, who reported less than $500,000 raised and $764,745 cash-on-hand. In a shock across Kentucky political circles, Cameron holds more cash-on-hand than Nate Morris, who reported just $351,000 raised and $580,000 cash-on-hand after a disastrous quarter. Morris’ super PAC, Fight for KY, has just $118,000 cash-on-hand after burning through more than $13 million in the first quarter alone.

“Heading into the homestretch, Andy Barr is leading in the polls, building grassroots momentum, and dominating fundraising,” said Barr Campaign Spokesman Alex Bellizzi. “Meanwhile, Nate Morris—who promised to spend ‘whatever it took’—is now completely off TV and digital in the closing days of this race. He and his allies have burned through nearly $20 million on a distant third-place campaign that has yet to break 15 percent in the polls. And then there’s Daniel Cameron, who embarrassed Kentucky Republicans once by losing statewide and who is nowhere on TV or radio and barely campaigning across the Commonwealth. You’d be forgiven for not realizing he is even running. Andy Barr is closing strong, will win this primary, and is ready to put this seat away for Republicans in November.”
