Van Lear, Kentucky—Today, Kentucky State Representative Bobby McCool (R-HD-97) endorsed Andy Barr for U.S. Senate.
“Andy Barr has traveled and met with stakeholders all over Eastern Kentucky, proving he will be our champion in the U.S. Senate. In addition to being a great leader for Eastern Kentucky, no one will fight more for our veterans than Andy,” said Rep. McCool, who serves as Chairman of the Veteran, Military Affairs & Public Affairs Committee. “I’m proud to endorse him and look forward to working with him.”
“I’m thrilled to welcome Chairman McCool to our growing team in Eastern Kentucky,” said Barr. “I’ll work with Chairman McCool and Congressman Hal Rogers to protect our veterans, defend coal, and to always stand up for Eastern Kentucky.”
Chairman McCool was first elected to the Kentucky State House in 2018. The 97th District includes Johnson, Martin, and part of Pike Counties. Chairman McCool is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Kentucky Army National Guard. For almost 30 years, Chairman McCool taught at Big Sandy Community and Technical College.
