Beattyville, Kentucky—Today, Lee County Sheriff Joe Lucas announced his endorsement of Andy Barr (R-KY) for the United States Senate.
“Andy Barr will back the blue and always stand up for Eastern Kentucky,” said Sheriff Joe Lucas. “Andy’s got a record of delivering for police, whether it’s federal grants to support police departments or fighting against the defund police movement. I’m proud to support Andy, I pray for his election and success as our next Senator.”
“Sheriff Lucas is a man of faith, family, and community. I’m proud to have his support in this race, I’ll always work with him to protect Eastern Kentucky, and I know he will continue to do a great job as Sheriff,” said Barr.
Lee County Sheriff Joe Lucas is currently serving his first term as Sheriff after retiring from Kentucky State Police. He is a proud Christian, conservative, husband, and father. Barr has over 160 major endorsements, more than all other campaigns combined.
