Morgantown, Kentucky—Today, Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor announced he’s endorsing Andy Barr to be the next U.S. Senator from Kentucky.
“Andy Barr has proven he will stand with law enforcement to uphold our laws and keep our communities safe,” Chief Taylor said. “We need a U.S. Senator that we can depend on to help us by delivering federal support for equipment, training, and resources that will empower us to succeed in our mission. Andy has demonstrated that he will always do this for Departments he’s represented and I know he will do the same for us.”
“For over two decades, Giles Taylor has dedicated himself to Morgantown and the law enforcement profession,” said Barr. “First as a rank-and-file officer and now in the top job for Morgantown Police Department, he’s led in the mission to provide top-notch law enforcement and help the community grow by keeping us safe. I’m grateful to have his support.”
Chief Taylor first joined the Morgantown Police Department as an officer in 2003. He was elected to serve as Police Chief in 2018 and is currently a candidate to become the next Sheriff in Butler County.
