KY State Rep Shawn McPherson Endorses Andy Barr for U.S. Senate

Scottsville, Kentucky—Today, Kentucky State Representative Shawn McPherson (R-HD-22) endorsed Andy Barr for U.S. Senate.

“Andy Barr is the fighter that farmers, small business owners, and all of Western Kentucky needs in the U.S. Senate,” said Representative McPherson. “Andy worked with President Trump to end the death tax on over 2 million family farms, to expand crop insurance, and to deliver the largest tax cut in American history. I ask all of Western Kentucky to join me: let’s keep the momentum going and send Andy Barr to the U.S. Senate!”

“I’m honored to welcome Representative McPherson to our growing team in Western Kentucky,” said Barr. “He’s proven to be a tireless advocate for farmers, seniors, and small businesses throughout his career. I look forward to being in the fight with him to make Western Kentucky even stronger in the years to come when I’m in the Senate.”

Representative McPherson has represented Kentucky’s 22nd House District since 2021. The District includes Allen, Simpson, and part of Warren Counties. Representative McPherson grew up on a dairy farm and earned a bachelor’s degree in agri-business and MS in animal nutrition at Western Kentucky University. He served in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet before founding his own appraisal company, serving as CEO of Highland Ridge Assisted Living facility, and then as CFO of Companion Care Services and Palmer Place Assisted Living Facility.
