Hartford, KY — Ohio County Judge/Executive David L. Johnston has announced his endorsement of Congressman Andy Barr to be Kentucky’s next United States Senator, adding to Barr’s growing support among local leaders across Western Kentucky.
Barr recently traveled to the area, where he met with Johnston and other local Republican leaders to discuss the future of the region and outline his vision for the Commonwealth. During the visit, Barr made the case for his candidacy and highlighted his commitment to supporting Kentucky’s farmers, strengthening rural communities, and advancing policies that benefit working families.
“Recently, Andy Barr was in our community speaking. After hearing his position on issues important to all Kentuckians, I am giving him my full support and endorsement,” said Judge Johnston.
Barr expressed his gratitude for Johnston’s support and emphasized his commitment to delivering for Ohio County and the broader Western Kentucky region.
“I’m honored to have Judge David L. Johnston’s endorsement,” said Barr. “I’m ready to go to work for Ohio County and all of Western Kentucky. I will fight for our farmers, families, and for our future.”
Judge/Executive Johnston has served Ohio County since 2010. He is the 27th Judge/Executive in Kentucky to back Barr, who has more CJEs backing his campaign than all other candidates in the race combined.
