Owensboro, KY—Today, Owensboro Mayor Tom Watson endorsed Congressman Andy Barr for U.S. Senate.
“Andy Barr delivers for Kentucky. Owensboro needs a partner in Washington who fights for jobs, public safety, and our local priorities,” said Mayor Watson. “Andy Barr always shows up for the communities he represents. I’m proud to support him for U.S. Senate.”
“Owensboro is one of Kentucky’s great success stories, and Mayor Watson has been the leader who delivered it,” said Barr. “I’m honored to have his support, and I’ll keep fighting for jobs, safety, and growth in Western Kentucky.”
Mayor Watson is the longest serving Mayor in the history of Owensboro. He first served as Mayor from 2005-2008 and has been serving his second stint as Mayor since 2017. Mayor Watson is the former president and co-owner, along with his wife Barbara, of Tom Watson’s Prosthetic and Orthotics Labs, Inc. He recently retired after fifty years in the prosthetics industry.
