Versailles, Kentucky—Today, Kentucky State Representative Dan Fister endorsed Andy Barr for the U.S. Senate.
“I’m for Andy Barr to be our next Senator because he’s always been for Kentucky,” said Rep. Fister. “Andy has secured key tax victories for our signature bourbon industry like making the lowered excise tax on spirits permanent. And for our farmers, Rep. Barr voted for legislation eliminating the death tax on an estimated 2 million family farmers.”
“Dan Fister is doing an outstanding job for Central Kentucky in the State House,” said Barr. “Together, we are going to keep partnering together to help Kentucky farmers get ahead by cutting taxes, investing in our agricultural industry, and opening new markets for exports. I’m honored to have his endorsement and look forward to our work going forward.
Rep. Fister has represented the 56th District in the Kentucky House of Representatives since 2021, which now includes Woodford and parts of Franklin and Jessamine Counties.
