Lexington, Kentucky—It was a good weekend for the Chairman of President Trump’s Republican Primary Campaign in Kentucky during the 2024 Presidential Election. From speeches to yard signs and everything in between, Fancy Farm was a clear victory for the Andy Barr for Senate campaign.
Barr started his speech by reintroducing himself to Western Kentucky voters:
“I’m a proud husband and busy father of Eleanor, Mary Clay and Hale… an 8th generation Kentuckian… grandson of two World War II veterans… and an America First fighter who has never wavered in the fight for limited government, free enterprise and a strong national defense.”
Barr then touted his record of working with President Trump to deliver for Kentuckians:
“Some politicians like to say, “I’m a Trump guy.” They talk about supporting the President now. But I’m the only candidate in this race who is actually doing it… My opponents like to talk about the One Big Beautiful Bill… I actually helped write it and pass it! Think about it—in less than eight months, President Trump and I have worked together to close the border, deport illegal aliens, obliterate Iran’s nuclear program, restore peace through strength, make the Trump tax cuts permanent, eliminate taxes on tips, overtime, and revive American energy dominance powered by beautiful, clean Kentucky Coal.”
One of Andy’s opponents, Nate Morris, was booed worse than the Democrat running against Congressman Jamie Comer by Republicans at Fancy Farm. WHAS 11 in Louisville broke down how Nate’s remarks “fell flat” with Kentucky Republican voters.
Another report from WHAS 11 highlighted how nasty Nate’s campaign is turning off Western Kentucky Republicans and leaders ahead of the Fancy Farm picnic. The report also spotlighted how Nate and Daniel Cameron simply do not have the grassroots support to keep this seat in Republican hands. Key quotes from the report included:
“It appears that Cameron’s campaign is struggling in all kinds of facets, including in fundraising.”
“Several county leaders in Western Kentucky said this week to WHAS 11 in conversations that Nate Morris’ strategy…. is not working at all.”
