Monticello, Kentucky—Today, Wayne County Judge/Executive Scott Gehring endorsed Andy Barr to be the next Senator from Kentucky.
“I’m endorsing Andy Barr because there will be no better partner for our local government than Andy in the Senate,” said Judge Gehring. “He’s shown that he can advocate and deliver for our local first responders and key projects in communities he represents. We can’t have a Senator who forgets about us in Washington, we need someone who will fight for us everyday. Andy Barr is that Senator and I’m proud to endorse him.”
“Judge Gehring is doing a tremendous job for Kentuckians in Wayne County,” said Barr. “The Judge and I will always work together to support our law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs. In the Senate, I’ll be an advocate for Wayne County and work hand-in-hand with Judge Gehring to deliver for South-central Kentucky.”
Judge Gehring is a native of Monticello, Kentucky, and has served as Judge/Executive of Wayne County since 2023. Prior to his service as CJE, Judge Gehring was a paramedic at UK HealthCare.
