Barr’s Campaign is Promising Legal Action if the Anti-Trump PAC attempts to broadcast their lies to Kentucky voters.
Lexington, KY— Today, the Andy Barr for Senate campaign responded to the false and disgraceful attack ad from anti-Trump PAC “Win it Back” that spent millions trying to defeat President Trump in the 2024 Election, falsely attacking Andy Barr and lying about his record of fighting the radical transgender movement.
“Anti-Trumpers who spent millions trying to defeat President Trump in the 2024 election are telling lies about Andy Barr’s record fighting the radical transgender movement with a fake ad citing a bill from 2013 that had zero mention of genital mutilation surgeries or radical hormone medications for minors,” the Barr campaign said following the publicizing of the fake news ad. “The truth is that Andy Barr cosponsors legislation to ban federal funds from going to genital mutilation surgeries for children. Andy also earned the endorsement of Riley Gaines by working with her to make President Trump’s Executive Order banning biological men from girls’ sports permanent. Meanwhile, Nate Morris signed the CEO Diversity Pledge, created an LGBTQIA+ affinity group for employees at Rubicon, and celebrated Pride Month by encouraging everyone to show favoritism to LGBTQIA+ businesses.”
Barr’s campaign is promising to bring legal action against the anti-Trump PAC if they try to air this disgraceful ad directly to Kentucky voters. The ad cites a 2013 Children’s Hospital GME Support Reauthorization Act that includes no language about genital mutilation surgeries or radical hormone medications for minors. In 2018, Congressman Barr voted alongside an overwhelming majority of Congress to reauthorize this program and it was signed by President Trump. Barr cosponsored the End Taxpayer Funding of Gender Experimentation Act of 2023 to ban federal funding of sex change operations for minors. He currently cosponsors the same legislation introduced earlier in 2025.
