Bluegrass Brief: Andy Barr is a “Good Guy and a Warrior

From day one, I’ve backed President Donald J. Trump and his Administration. Don’t take my word for it, President Trump said that at his rally in Northern Kentucky earlier this month.

I’m grateful for the President’s recognition, but more importantly, it reflects the work we’ve done. I have consistently pushed for a stronger economy, protecting our communities, and putting Kentucky families first.

While others talk about standing with President Trump, I’ve proven it—serving as Chairman of his 2024 Kentucky campaign and leading earliest with my endorsement. I’m a Trump conservative, and I won’t back down.

Making My Pitch to Kentucky Voters

I enjoyed sharing my vision for Kentucky with voters at the first Republican debate in Louisville. Here’s the bottom line: I’m the only candidate who has delivered alongside the President for Kentucky.

Together, we passed the largest tax cut in history, ending taxes on tips, overtime, and social security. We passed the biggest border security bill ever, tripling funding for ICE agents so they can deport criminal illegals. And we are fighting to bring back commonsense in America: no more biological men in girl’s sports and private spaces.

Law Enforcement for Barr

I’m proud to launch the Law Enforcement Coalition for Barr, bringing together current and former officers across Kentucky who are committed to keeping our communities safe. I’m the only candidate in this race who hasn’t either caved or promoted Black Lives Matter and the War on Police. I’ve always stood with law enforcement, and I’ll continue fighting to ensure officers have the support, respect, and resources they need to do their jobs. Strong communities start with public safety.

I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Police Officers’ Defense Coalition, the only national law enforcement organization to endorse in Kentucky’s U.S. Senate race, as well as Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue, President Fraternal Order of Police and Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association.

In Congress, I’ve backed law enforcement by passing the Chief Herbert D. Proffitt Act, expanding HIDTA resources in Central Kentucky, and leading the STOP Chinese Fentanyl Act to crack down on fentanyl production. I won’t stop working to keep Kentucky safe and protect our law enforcement.

Veterans for Barr

I’m also proud to launch the Veterans for Barr Coalition, bringing together men and women who have served our country with honor. Supporting our veterans has always been a priority for me. My office closed over 200 cases favorably for veterans last year, almost a case a day. I look forward to taking that service statewide.

I’m focused on improving access to care, cutting through bureaucratic delays, and making sure we keep our promises. I’ve also worked to support innovative programs like equine therapy, to strengthen education benefits under the GI Bill, and expand care for those exposed to toxic substances through legislation like the PACT Act.

Veterans served us and we must always serve them. I always will.

Never Trump Group FALSE Amnesty Ad

The Never Trump “Win It Back PAC” is back with more lies. This time, they accuse me of supporting amnesty because I SUPPORTED President Trump’s border security bill. All of this is no surprise, after all, this group was literally created to oppose President Trump in 2024.

Here’s the bottom line: I’ve never supported amnesty, and I never will.

In President Trump’s first term, I voted for both the Securing America’s Future Act (Goodlatte I) and the Border Security and Immigration Reform Act (Goodlatte II)—the very legislation backed by President Trump that would have funded nearly $25 billion for the border wall and strengthened immigration enforcement. When Democrats blocked the bill, I continued the fight by defending President Trump’s authority to build the wall in federal court and we won.
