National Border Patrol Council Endorses Andy Barr for U.S. Senate

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 6, 2026

Today, the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) — the exclusive representative of 16,000 men and women securing America’s borders — officially endorsed Republican Andy Barr for U.S. Senate in Kentucky. Barr is endorsed by President Donald Trump, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, and has a perfect, A+ Rating from NumbersUSA, the top border security advocacy group in the U.S.

“The NBPC counts on our elected leaders to stand up for the 16,000 men and women on the frontlines of America’s border security,” said Paul Perez, President of the National Border Patrol Council, “and that’s exactly what we have with Andy Barr. He has a decade-long record of supporting secure borders, deportation efforts, and fully funding homeland security. That’s why we’re supporting him for the U.S. Senate.”

“Whether it was successfully leading the defense of President Trump’s authority in federal court to build the wall in his first term or voting to send record resources to CBP through the Big Beautiful Bill to secure the border, I will always stand side-by-side with the men and women of the NBPC. As the Border Security candidate in this race, I’m honored to have the endorsement of the National Border Patrol Council,” said Andy Barr.
