Georgetown, Kentucky—Today, Kentucky State Representative Tony Hampton (R-HD-62) endorsed Andy Barr for U.S. Senate.
“Andy Barr is the law and order candidate in this race who has always backed our police,” said Rep. Hampton, who served as Scott County Sheriff prior to his election to the State House. “He’s a proven leader for Scott County who has worked with President Trump to boost manufacturing jobs right here at the Toyota plant in Georgetown and at the Corning plant in Mercer County. I look forward to working with Andy to do more great things for Central Kentucky when he’s our U.S. Senator.”
“As a County Sheriff and now as State Representative, Tony Hampton has always protected Scott County,” said Barr. “Together, we will always defend our law enforcement and fight for Central Kentucky. I’m honored to have his endorsement in this race!”
Representative Hampton was first elected to the State House in 2024. The 62nd District includes part of Scott County. Before serving in the State House, Rep. Hampton served for over a decade as Scott County Sheriff.
