Christian County CJE Jerry Gilliam Endorses Andy Barr for Senate

Hopkinsville, Kentucky—Today, Christian County Judge Executive (CJE) Jerry Gilliam endorsed Andy Barr to be the next U.S. Senator from Kentucky. Judge Gilliam has served as Judge Executive of Christian County since 2023.

“Andy Barr has a proven track record of delivering for Kentucky farmers, law enforcement, veterans, and small businesses,” Judge Gilliam said. “It was clear during his recent visit to Hopkinsville that he is the ideal candidate to be my partner for Christian County and Western Kentucky in the U.S. Senate.”

“I’m honored to have Judge Gilliam’s endorsement and look forward to working with him for Kentuckians in Christian County as the next Senator from Kentucky,” said Barr. “I’ve consistently fought for our farmers, most recently voting for expanded crop insurance and to end the death tax for 2 million family farms. I’ll always stand up for Kentucky values like defending our Second Amendment rights and the sanctity of life. I look forward to being your champion in the U.S. Senate.”

Judge Gilliam is a native of Christian County who obtained undergraduate and masters degrees at Murray State University. Judge Gilliam was instrumental in establishing the first Agri Technology Program in the Commonwealth.
