KY State Senator Max Wise Endorses Andy Barr for U.S. Senate

Campbellsville, Kentucky — Today, Kentucky State Senator and Majority Floor Leader Max Wise (R-KY-16) endorses Andy Barr (R-KY) for the United States Senate.

“I back Andy Barr for the U.S. Senate because he is the best candidate to represent Kentucky,” said Senator Wise. “Andy is a champion for Kentucky law enforcement. He led the Chief Herbert D. Proffitt Act to enactment, which honored our fallen Tompkinsville Police Chief and protected families of officers killed because of their police service. He also voted to send record resources to DHS to secure our border. No one will fight to keep us safe in the Senate harder than Andy Barr. He has my complete and total endorsement.”

“I’m honored to have Senator Wise’s support and proud to have a statesman like him serving in Kentucky’s leadership,” said Barr. “Together, we will deliver for South-central Kentucky and fight for pro-growth policies that benefit Kentucky families, small businesses, and farmers. Senator Wise also knows that I will always back the blue. I’m grateful for his support and look forward to working with him when I’m in the Senate.”

Kentucky State Senator Max Wise has been representing the 16th District since 2015 and is currently serving as the Senate Majority Floor Leader. A Campbellsville native, Wise is a former FBI counterterrorism and intelligence specialist and educator who now teaches graduate courses in intelligence and national security at the Patterson School of Diplomacy at the University of Kentucky. He is a proud alumni from Campbellsville University, the University of Kentucky, and the Bush School of Government at Texas A&M. He is a strong advocate for advancing education and economic development initiatives, as well as conservative policies, across the Commonwealth.

Senator Wise joins a growing coalition of leaders across Kentucky in endorsing Barr’s campaign. Barr has over 170 major endorsements, more than all other campaigns combined.
