Independent Poll Shows Barr Leading KY Senate GOP Primary

Barr is the best candidate in the general, and the strongest fundraiser

Lexington, KY—Today, the first Independent poll of the 2026 Kentucky U.S. Senate Republican Primary Election showed Andy Barr leading the field. Barr is preferred by 24% of likely GOP voters, ahead of Daniel Cameron at 21% with Nate Morris in dead last with 14% after over $8M spent on his failing campaign.

“This poll shows what Kentuckians have been seeing on the ground for months: Andy Barr is the strongest candidate in this race,” said Alex Bellizzi, Campaign Spokesman for Barr. “Andy leads in the polls, is the only candidate dominating Democrats in the general election, has more major endorsements than both campaigns combined, and is crushing his competition in the race for fundraising with 10 times the cash-on-hand his nearest opponent. After over $8M spent, Nate Morris’ campaign is crashing harder than his failed green energy company after it went on the NYSE.”

Barr remains the strongest candidate in this race:

  • Andy Barr is dominating the fundraising race in this election. He has more cash-on-hand than both of his opponents put together and ten times more than his nearest opponent.
  • Andy Barr has more major endorsements than both of his opponents combined, including over 115 U.S. House members, nine Kentucky State Senators, 21 Kentucky House members, and over 25 County Judge/Executives, and many others.
  • Barr also has the support of U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), U.S. Senator Ted Budd (R-NC), Riley Gaines, and Nick Sandmann.
  • Barr is the only candidate in this race who has actually helped President Trump pass the MAGA agenda. He Chaired Trump’s reelection in Kentucky in 2024, was the first to endorse him in the Kentucky Congressional Delegation, and has been with him all the way. No one will be a better ally for Trump in the Senate than Andy Barr.

Nate Morris is in last place, still:

  • After over $8M spent, Nate Morris is still in the basement. Nate has been in last place in every single poll conducted in this election, including his own.
  • As Spencer Kimball, the head pollster at Emerson said, “Morris doesn’t seem to have a strong base of support.”
  • Morris puts this seat in jeopardy for Republicans, he’s statistically tied with Charles Booker in recent polling, the AOC of Kentucky.
  • Nate supported Nikki Haley over Trump in the Primary, sent his employees to bias training classes, and his company was delisted from the NYSE because it is a sham.
  • Nate Morris remains in the candidate protection program. Even though he was run out of Rubicon and doesn’t have a job, Andy Barr has done more media and in-state events in one month than Nate has done this entire campaign.
  • Nate can’t run a campaign for U.S. Senate in Kentucky in DC or Atlanta.
