Sheriff Asbury was listed as an endorsement for Daniel Cameron
Paris, Kentucky—Today, Bourbon County Sheriff Tony Asbury endorsed Andy Barr to be the next U.S. Senator from Kentucky. The endorsement comes on the heels of Barr’s dominant debate performance and his rollout of the “Law Enforcement for Barr” coalition on Monday.
“Andy Barr is the right man to represent Bourbon County and protect our law enforcement in the U.S. Senate,” said Sheriff Asbury. “During his time as our Congressman, he’s delivered for us. I know that in the Senate it will be no different.”
“Sheriff Asbury has done a great job protecting and serving Kentuckians in Bourbon County,” said Congressman Barr. “I’ll always fight for our Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office, to provide any resources and equipment necessary to keep the community safe. I want to thank Sheriff Asbury for his endorsement which is symbolic of the great momentum that our campaign has in this race.”
Sheriff Asbury has served in law enforcement for over 28 years. In addition to his service in law enforcement, Sheriff Asbury is a veteran of the Kentucky Army National Guard. Sheriff Asbury is also a candidate for Bourbon County Judge Executive in the upcoming 2026 Elections. Barr has over 160 major endorsements in the U.S. Senate race, including the Police Officers’ Defense Coalition, the only law enforcement organization to endorse in the race.
