Former Menifee County Sheriff Rodney Coffey Endorses Andy Barr for U.S. Senate

Frenchburg, Kentucky — Today, Former Menifee County Sheriff Rodney Coffey announced his endorsement of Andy Barr (R-KY) for the United States Senate.

“Andy Barr is the champion we need for law enforcement in the U.S. Senate,” said former Menifee County Sheriff Rodney Coffey. “He fought for federal grants to support police in the Sixth District, and to restore federal death benefits for all police officers killed because of their service through the Chief Herbert D. Proffitt Act. Andy is a conservative through and through, who will defend the second amendment and our conservative values in the Senate. I’m with him all the way.”

“Sheriff Rodney Coffey is a staple of the community in Menifee County,” said Barr. “His many years of service to country and community have made a difference to everyone who knows him and I’m so proud to have his endorsement. I will never stop supporting Rodney’s brothers and sisters in law enforcement.”

Former Menifee County Sheriff Rodney Coffey served as Menifee County Sheriff from 1999 to 2014. He currently serves as a local pastor. Coffey previously served as an officer at Morehead State University Police Department for five years. He also was an outstanding member of the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association Board of Directors from 2007 to 2013, and was named president in 2014. Coffey proudly served for eight years in the United States Navy Reserve. Barr has over 160 major endorsements, more than all other campaigns combined.
